Bend But Don't Break!!!!

A few week ago, I had an incident to happen to my wedding ring and I got a profound revelation that I would like to share. While doing my chores each day, my wedding ring had suffered from the pressure of my work with my hands. Unknown to me, at some point it had withstood more pressure than it could take, and became bent at the bottom; however, it did not break. The breached area was really significant. Once I discovered the damage, I immediately took it to a jeweler to see what could be done to repair it. After thoroughly inspecting it, the jeweler told me that it could be hammered back into place with his equipment or he could cut the bottom out and put in a stint. Despite the ring being bent severely, the pressure it had endured did not break it.

That night after I had taken my ring in to be repaired by the jeweler, I thought about life and how under pressure, it bends us a little bit each day. Due to this fact, we all need Jesus to be our divine jeweler and bend us back in place through our obedience and reliance on His promises in the Bible. If we choose not to rely on Him, slowly but surely, we will break under life's pressures, but if we place our lives in Jesus's hand, we can be assured that even though we might bend under life's pressures, we will not break or break down! In instances that we choose not to place our lives in His hand and we find ourselves broken, just remember that He also is the Potter and we are the clay. If we surrender all of life's pressures and challenges to Him, He is able to put us back together again, as if we were never broken. Lastly, always know that we can trust Him, because He will not allow us to endure more pressure in life than we can handle. Also, "He will never leave us nor forsake us as we go through the pressures of life. To all who read this blog post, I want you to know that despite what you are facing in your personal lives, your marriages, your families or your everyday business affairs, if you will put your total trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior, you may bend a bit due to life's pressure, but you do not have to break! Choose to endure hardness as a good soldier and allow your enduring faith in Christ to propel you into greatness!!!

Remember This: "Bend if you must, but don't allow life's pressures to break you. Put your hope in Jesus."
