Sin: A Blatant Act of Disobedience

Sin entered into the world through a blatant act of disobedience to God on the first Adam's part. Adam was given specific instruction on what he and Eve could do and could not do in their paradise (a place of extreme beauty, delight, or happiness) in the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden had been created by the God Almighty Himself and not by man's hand. Since God was the Creator of Adam's home, He governed it by His rules and regulation, which He laid out plainly for Adam to know how to conduct the order of business in it. God made everything good in the Garden of Eden and He gave Adam dominion over all the living thing that He created in the Garden of Eden. Adam was given instruction to tend and watch over it, but God warned Him saying, " You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden, except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." He further instructed Adam of the outcome if he disobeyed and ate anyway, by saying, "if you eat its fruit, you are sure to die."(Genesis 2:16-17) One thing God can not and will not do is lie! You would think that with all the rest of  paradise (a place of extreme beauty, delight, or happiness) that Adam was given permission to richly enjoy, God Almighty was not asking too much. God even new that Adam would not have someone to identify with after seeing all the animals in the garden mingle with the likeness of their own kind, according to the law of nature. So God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper/ (Eve) who is just right for him." ( Genesis 2:18) So, "God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man's ribs and closed up the opening. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man." (Genesis 2:21-22) At this point God did not leave Adam lonely for a companion made in his likeness  according the laws of nature. God had met all of Adam needs and all His necessities of life was all at his fingertip.

At this point, Satan, with all of his deceit, cleverness, and craftiness, entered the scene and he demonstrated that he is the father of all lies and also, he is the father of all deceit. Satan disguised himself in the serpent, who was the shrewdest of all the wild animals that God had made. In other words, Satan hijacked the serpent to carry out his deceitful plan on the first couple. One day the serpent confronted Eve, with a twisted question. Asking her, "Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?" Eve answered him in return with the truth, saying "Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the in the garden", but , "It's only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. She further explained what God said, "You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die." Again, remember, God can not and will not lie! This was the opening for Satan to began manipulating Eve with his deadly lure of sin through the power of deception in order to interject the act of disobedience on Adam's part, because Adam was his ultimate target. Satan knew that Adam was given dominion over everything in their paradise, by God Almighty. Satan knew if he could get to Eve first, he could ultimately get to Adam to take the fall. So he lured Eve in with a twisted version of truth, by saying to her, "You won't die!" the serpent replied to the woman. "God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil." This is where "curiosity killed the cat" so to speak. So once Eve approached Adam with Satan master plan and Adam in return fell for it and ate, all of mankind began to die through the "blatant act of disobedience, called sin. Nothing changed until Adam ate of the fruit; however, when Adam ate there was no turning back, and afterward judgement for their act of disobedience began to drop and the blame game began. Adam blamed EveEve blamed the serpent, and at this point, God already knew who to begin passing out curses to for their sin (blatant act of disobedience) which had been committed. He began with the serpent/ Satan, who was the "real culprit" (a person or other agent guilty of or responsible for an offense or fault) in the whole matter. Satan's curse was swift and definitive (a conclusion done or reached decisively and with authority). God demonstrated on Satan His absolute supreme authority for his deceitful act against His position as Creator of the entire universe. He cursed the serpent who yielded his body to be used by Satan to execute his deceitful scheme and plan of sin which caused man to become separated from God. The serpent was cursed more than all animals domestic and wild. Also, He cursed him so that he had to crawl upon his belly groveling in the dust as long as he should live. He put hostility between the serpent and the woman, and between his offspring and her offspring. After God cursed the serpent, He then passed down his curse/punishment on Eve for the sin (blatant act of disobedience) she had committed. Now, women have to continually pay the price through the pain of pregnancy and childbirth. Also, no matter how women desire to control their husband, he was granted rule over them, as part of the punishment of obeying Satan after the fact of what Sovereign God had spoken plainly to them. The first Adam, received his punishment for his sin(blatant disobedience) last.  He told them they were going to die if they ate of the tree of knowledge and through their blatant act of disobedience which is sin, they began to die each day after they had eaten, thus passing this curse onward to all mankind. Lastly, Adam received his curse for committing the first act of sin known to mankind against God Almighty. For his punishment, God told Adam that since he had listened and obeyed his wife and ate from the tree whose fruit He commanded him not to eat, the ground was cursed and all his life he would struggle to scratch a living from it, because it would grow thorns and thistles, even though his food would come from its grains. Lastly by the sweat of his brow he would have to eat until he died and return to the ground/dirt of the earth. Before Adam, Satan had sinned against God Almighty and he was cast down from heaven and now God was forced to curse the first man and woman that he had created through His powerful love as well. Adam and Eve through their blatant act of disobedience had to be banished from their paradise and then God stationed mighty cherubim and and flaming sword that flashed back and forth to the eastern section of the Garden of Eden to protect the tree of life, because had they eaten from that tree they would have lived forever in a forever lost state they had landed themselves in after the fall. Paradise for them were lost forever!(Genesis 3:22-24) After sin had occurred the world and all human beings would continue in the fallen state without a way out. Even blood sacrifice after blood sacrifice all human beings were still lost without a permanent solution to be redeem back to God. However, Always remember this: "Nothing is impossible with GOD ALMIGHTY". He will make a way when it seem all measures have been exhausted. That why He is sovereign!

Once Adam took the fall, every human being born after him were hopelessly lost and a slaves to sin. But since nothing is impossible with God Almighty, he presented a permanent and perfect solution for every one's indebtedness to sin and death. God Almighty decided that He would make himself a man that would go down to earth to redeem mankind back from Satan's clutches back to Himself. And He did so through the womb of a virgin named Mary (Matthew 1:18-25). Mary was impregnated through the power of Holy Spirit and she willingly agreed to carry and give birth our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Jesus was God Almighty's sacrificial lamb, who was slain on the cross at Calvary to redeem all human beings back from the auction block of Satan. Jesus was the second Adam and He did what the first Adam did not do. Instead of committing the blatant act of disobedience/sin, He remained sinless and faithful to the will of His Father, even unto His death on the cross. (Hebrews 7:25-28) Satan tried the same tactics and enticements of temptation with Jesus, but Jesus (the second Adam) did not cave into his deceitful temptation and in the end, He died once so that all human beings through accepting Him as their Lord and personal savior do not have to take the fall to sin and we all through Him will in the end have eternal life. We will live with him forever in paradise with God the Father. I thank God for John 3;16, for He so loved the world that He gave His only Son Jesus to redeem anyone who believe on him from Satan's clutches and they can inherit eternal life. I pray all who read this blog post will realize that there is hope for your life and that Hope is Jesus Christ. There is nothing you have done that Jesus can not redeem you from if you just come to Him and ask Him to forgive you of all of your sins and come into your life and be your Savior and redeemer. Jesus will grant you mercy and forgive you for not just one of your sins but all of them through the power of repentance (a change of mind and heart and includes turning away from sin and turning to God for forgiveness). Godly sorrow produces repentance, which further leads one to salvation. (II Corinthians 7:10) Once we repent we can declare through the power of grace that we have been redeemed from the law of sin and death, because once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we have eternal life, which means continued life after death. I thank God for our redemption through Jesus Christ and I thank Jesus for taking the fall and having me and all the human race in His thought as He died on Calvary's cross. I celebrate His resurrection as well, but had He just died and not rose again, we would still be lost without hope, but through His resurrection He gained power over death, hell and the grave. As His believers we are overcomers through His blood which cleanses us from all unrighteousness and redeems us as His own. Jesus died once, so that we could have life and life more abundantly, if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. No one will be denied Christ's mercy if they are willing to give up all their sins (blatant acts of disobedience) and come to Him with a truly repentant heart and receive Him. Since Jesus is love, why not make him your Savior and Lord!!!! Selah!! "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners". Romans 5:8(NLT)
